a great selection of coffee, and everything that belongs to

exchange system works here, where you can exchange books and
videotapes for other books and tapes or for the coffee-shop
certificate, which allows you to pay for anything that is sold

coffee house has a romantic Mediter-ranean atmosphere with good
service, music, and a relaxing feeling of being near the sea.
The menu includes numerous varieties of coffee, teas, fondue,
chocolates, sweets and pancakes. The bar offers various alcoholic
drinks, and a nice selection of cigars are also avaible. An
extensive list of coffee beans can also be ordered to go. Coffee

Coffeeum in Maidan,
Kostyol'na 4, (M) Maidan Nezalezhnosti, tel. 278 04 90. The coffee-house
consists of two floors – the interior, accessible from Kostyol'na
Street, is modelled after an old coffee-brandy cigar house from
the early part of the twentieth century. The entrance from Maidan
carries you into a fascinating traveling in the safari of that period.

Coffeeum In Pechersk
1-4, Sichnevoho Povstannia 3, (M) Arsenalna, tel. 280 57 96. It
is a coffee-house of a new generation with creative breathing. It
consists of two levels: in two first halls there are held exhibitions
of pictures and photo-sessions; a divan hall is a position for negotiations

D.A.Cemadenl , Chervonoarmiys'ka
68, (M) Respublikans'kyi Stadion, tel. 289 63 80. The Swiss Cemadeni
sweet-shop was a favourite destination for visitors in Kyiv during
the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century. True, it
had another address, but the present-day sweet-shop using the famous
name is no disgrace itself. The interior breathes respectability.
There are five sorts of chocolate offered, various cakes, and sweets

From the sophis-ticated interior decor complete with Mucha wall
hangings to the great people-watching tables on fashionable Passage,
this is a place both to see and where to be seen. As expected, a
wide selection of coffees, teas and sweet delectables only adds

of dark red decor and plushy sofas with a rose and apple on each
table. However, the prominent tongue sculptures and pictures of
a girl being drenched in chocolate syrup may be a bit rich for some.
The desserts are tasty and complemented by various coffee cocktails

in the city has a lovely Viennese room and enough sugary delights
to enter-tain the kids and give you all a cavity or two, from danishes
to cakes and other gourmet sweets. Those in need of more substantial
